A high school teacher has died after a car collided with his car at Lakewood High School in Houston
A high-school teacher has been killed in a crash at Lakewold High School, officials said on Monday.
The school district’s public safety director said the teacher was in a car accident with another vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say a driver of a black Ford F-150 truck was found to have alcohol in his system.
Investigators have not identified the driver.
The school district released a statement saying that “a male student was pronounced deceased after a crash with a vehicle at Lakeworth High School.”
The incident occurred around 10:20 a.m.
Monday on Interstate 35E.
The Texas Department of Public Safety and Public Health did not immediately release a statement on the teacher’s death.
